Accommodation Terms and Conditions

ARRIVAL AND DEPARTURE Check-In is from 2.00pm to 9.00pm Monday to Saturday (excluding public holidays). If you would like to check in after 9pm or on a Sunday or Public Holiday, please phone us to discuss whether this is possible PRIOR to making your booking.

Check-Out is by 10.00am unless other arrangements have been made. (If you do not leave your room by 10.00am our housekeeper will be unable to prepare it for other guests, which will incur an additional night’s room fee)

DURING YOUR STAY 
Rooms are not cleaned/serviced during your stay (of 1 week or less), and this is reflected in our pricing. For guests staying more than 2 nights we provide the following discount:

3 – 4 night stay 10% off

4 – 7 night stay 20% off

Security for possessions whilst staying at The Commercial Hotel is your responsibility. The Commercial Hotel management will not be responsible for any losses you may incur.

The Commercial Hotel is a 100% non-smoking property in all upstairs areas. This is for the comfort of our guests as well as to reduce fire risk on the property and surrounds. Failure to comply will result in a request to vacate the property immediately with no refund of accommodation fees or security bond.

We reserve the right to enter a room to turn off any appliance that may have inadvertently been left on, or to shut any windows or doors and retract blinds to prevent any weather damage.

We reserve the right to terminate your stay if you act in a manner that is unlawful, causes wilful damage to the property, or causes a nuisance to neighbours or other guests (including smoking upstairs and intoxication). In these circumstances, no refund will be given, and we will not be responsible for any losses you may incur.

CAR PARKING
Please note that there is only a limited number of off-street parking spots available adjacent to The Commercial Hotel’s garden (parking at the western end of the lane is private parking for nearby businesses – guests cannot use these parking spaces under any circumstances). If you are only staying one night, you may prefer to park under lights and security cameras on the street outside our building (note that time limits apply to street parking during business hours) There is a Council parking lot across the road behind the Community Centre with no time restrictions.

VISITORS
You are welcome to have day visitors whilst you are staying at The Commercial Hotel. Overnight guests are strictly by arrangement and additional charges may apply. For security and safety management reasons, we ask that you advise us of any visitors and the approximate duration of their visit.

We ask that you and your visitors respect the “quiet retreat” nature of our accommodation and do not adversely impact the amenity of other guests. This includes keeping noise at a reasonable level.

We reserve the right to ask visitors to leave if they are creating a disturbance or nuisance by their behaviour, and to charge you for any extra cleaning or damage incurred as a result of their actions.

REPAIRS/DAMAGES
In the event of something not working, breaking, being lost or other damage, please advise us as soon as possible during your stay so that we can undertake any repairs/maintenance/replacement etc as soon as possible.

We cover minor breakages as normal wear and tear, however any major damage/loss that necessitates repair/replacement or additional cleaning* may incur additional costs which will be taken from your security bond.

*Any cleaning of blood or other visible excretions will incur an additional cleaning fee which will be taken from your security bond.

PAYMENT POLICY
Payment by bank card or Paypal is required in full at time of booking (we do not accept cash payments for accommodation)

A security bond of $150 will be held against your card upon arrival – if you have paid online by PayPal, you will be asked to provide a card upon arrival. The security bond is retained (in part or in full) in the event of any damage to the property, additional cleaning requirements, keys not returned, or other breaches of our Accommodation Terms and Conditions (note that smoking in any upstairs area will result in the loss of your full security bond).

CANCELLATION POLICY
Cancellations will be accepted up to 1 month prior, and any money paid will be refunded less a $20 booking fee.

If you cancel more than 7 days prior to your stay, 50% of your deposit will be refunded.

If you cancel within 7 days, or do not show, no refund will be provided.

Please note that if you do need to cancel, every effort will be made to find a replacement booking and, if successful, your payment will be refunded in full, less the $20 booking fee.
